New Delhi : Dr. Harish Yadav, an official in the Indian government who has won the Bharat Gaurav Award and the Global Youth Leadership Award, is a guy of many skills. He has a wide range of interests, but is particularly well-known for his poetry, acting, singing, and writing. These honours attest to Dr. Yadav’s commitment and enthusiasm for making a difference in the world. His success and fame have motivated many others to continue his mission of making the world a better place.
On September 1, 1980, he was born to Ajai Pal Singh Yadav and Puspa Yadav in Rishikesh, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He is married to Pratiksha Yadav and has a sister called Manisha Singh.
IDPL Inter College, Virbhadra Rishikesh was where Dr. Yadav attended for his undergraduate studies, whereas Govt. PG College Rishikesh was where he earned his graduate degree. In addition to his PhD in Economics, he has a Master of Philosophy in Economics from Algappa University in Tamil Nadu. For his outstanding literary work, Dr. Yadav has been honoured with the degree of Doctor of Letters.
Dr. Yadav has worked in the government and as a writer/poet/author. In addition to ‘Kham-e-Misga,’ a compilation of his Urdu Shayari, he has written a number of other publications, such as ‘Garden of Bliss,’ a collection of his poetry, and ‘Yugdristha,’ a collection of Hindi poems. The India Book of Records lists his book with the title “I” as the tiniest book ever published.
Dr. Yadav’s passion for the arts has led to the creation of poetry and semi-classical music. The CD Khadi Geet, on which he sings and writes lyrics, celebrates the value of traditional handloom textiles and has achieved widespread acclaim. He also has acting chops, and has appeared in movies and music videos in supporting roles. In his spare time, Dr. Yadav enjoys playing the guitar, photography, and painting.
The list of Dr. Yadav’s professional accomplishments is just as long. He worked as a Special Officer with the Government of India’s Wildlife Crime Control Bureau before being designated as SEBI’s Resource Person in 2012. He has served in a number of roles, and he has excelled in every one of them. He is now serving as an official with the Government of India’s Central Civil Services.
Dr. Yadav has been the Indian delegate to many global conferences on youth empowerment and sustainable development. He was a judge for the Royal Commonwealth Society in London and played a pivotal role at UNESCO. Besides the Save Water and Save Our River efforts, he also spearheaded the Gramme Utkarsh initiative in India. Dr. Yadav has made significant contributions to youth empowerment and has established a database of all dry rivers and ponds in India.
