New Delhi (India) : It was through national television reality series and films that Chandrani Das became a household name in the Hindi entertainment industry.

Today, Chandrani Das is a household name across India’s entertainment industry, not just in Bengali and Odia, where she has received widespread critical acclaim and massive popularity. Chandrani Das, who has won an international award for her acclaimed film ‘Chhabi Rani’, speaks her mind in a very outspoken manner. Chandrani recently registered a production company called Maya Entertainment, which is a play on her mother’s name (i.e. Maya Das).

Chandrani attended North Lands Girls School for her secondary education before completing her undergraduate studies at Surendranath College with a degree in commerce. On March 20, 1992, Chandrani Das entered this world in the stunning West Bengal city of Chandan Nagar.

Since 2011, Chandrani has worked on films like Tandav, Ananya Saradiya, O Jani Ve, etc., adding to her more than a century of experience in the film industry. In ‘Chhabi Rani,’ she received universal acclaim for her performance. With a massive online following, Chandrani continues to be an avid user of social media. More than two hundred thousand people follow Chandrani on Instagram. Now that she has established her own production company, Maya Entertainment, Chandrani is producing a film in which she will star.

When asked about her career, Chandrani attributed her achievements solely to her hard work and dedication to acting.

As an actor, I believe that acting is, in fact, behaviour. I bring the same dedication to each role that I bring to the screen. One’s artistic abilities are fully realised when they are able to convincingly assume the role of a fictional character. That’s what Chandrani said.

It took me months to get out of the character I played in Chhabi Rani, she continued, because I was so immersed in that world. The one constant belief I’ve held throughout my career is that the only way to become the kind of famous actor we all dream of becoming is through a lot of hard work and dedication. I’ve seen a lot of women try to avoid the circle of shortcuts because it could ruin their careers. For this reason, I say, “Don’t cut corners; if you put in the time and effort, success will eventually knock on your door.”
