Ahmedabad/Mehsana | Gujarat — The Mandal Bechraji Special Investment Regional Development Authority (MBSIRDA) is spearheading a wave of transformative infrastructure projects in North Gujarat, reinforcing the region’s industrial backbone ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for North Gujarat, slated for October 9–10, 2025 in Mehsana.
In a major push to strengthen the investment climate, MBSIRDA has completed 33 km of development plan roads at an investment of ₹190 crore, while 66 km of Town Planning roads worth ₹500 crore are under active development. These roads integrate modern facilities, including water supply, sewage lines, and industrial effluent pipelines, ensuring holistic industrial support.
Looking ahead, the authority is set to further expand its support infrastructure worth ₹70 crore. This includes a 20 million litres per day (MLD) water treatment plant, three sewage treatment plants ranging from 4–15 MLD, and a 19 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) for industries. These projects are designed to ensure sustainable development while boosting industrial productivity.
“This is not just about building roads and pipelines—it is about creating a future-ready ecosystem that global investors can trust,” an MBSIRDA official said, emphasizing the region’s readiness for large-scale industrial participation.

Economic analysts note that such timely development is crucial. “North Gujarat has long been an agricultural and dairy hub. With world-class industrial infrastructure, it can now emerge as a multi-sectoral growth engine,” said an industry expert from Ahmedabad.
The conference also aims to encourage greater public participation and collaborative development, aligning with Gujarat’s vision of inclusive and sustainable industrial growth. By linking infrastructure expansion with investment opportunities, MBSIRDA is setting the stage for North Gujarat’s transformation into a globally competitive industrial hub.
