Malav wins third consecutive U-15 title

The summit clash in the girls U-15 category will be played between second seed Jiya Trivedi and her citymate and eight seed Pratha Pawar. While Jiya crushed third seed Khwaish Lotia 3-0, Pratha got the better of fifth seed Vishruti Jadav 3-0.

Bhavnagar : Top seed Malav Panchal scored a hat-trick of titles when he captured the boys U-15 title by defeating 7th seed gaint-killer Abhilaksh Patel in a thrilling final of the Microsign 4th Gujarat State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2023 organised by Bhavnagar District Table Tennis Association (BDTTA) under the aegis of Gujarat State Table Tennis Association from July 13 to 16  at the SAG Sports Complex in Bhavnagar.

The tournament is supported by Sports Authority of Gujarat.

Surat’s Burhanuddin Malubhai lived up to him top billing as he stormed into boys U-19 final after crushing fourth seed Ayush Tanna. He will face off his nemesis Armaan Shaikh for the title.

The U-17 boys quarters witnessed a major upset when eight seed Arya Kataria of Ahmedabad threw out top seed and local lad Dhyey Jani to enter the semifinal. Janmejay Patel, Aayush Tanna and Himansh Dahiya were the other three semifinalists.
