Issa Brothers, Britain’s billionaires and owner of the leading EG Group, have submitted the highest bid-offer in the final battle for the buyout of Walgreen’s Boots drugstore chain in the U.K against Ambani.
Mohsin and Zuber Issa, owners of the reputed EG Group in Britain have shocked the corporate world with their final face-off with Mukesh Ambani’s RIL in the buyout of the Walgreens Boots Drugstrone chain in the U.K, which is pegged worth $7 billion.
Britain’s billionaire Issa brothers, who are sons of Wali Issa and Zubeida Issa from Bharuch, shifted to Britain in the 1970s along with their parents. Issa brothers have gone on an acquisition spree that has turned their main company, EG Group into a global gas station and convenience store colossus. They also snapped up UK supermarket operator Asda Group Ltd, and the Leon chain of fast-casual restaurants.
According to the people in the know, the Boots drugstore chain buyout is going to be the most prominent one in the business world across the globe. Ambani and Issa Brothers are hell-bent on the buyout of the Boots Drugstore chain to expand their presence in the global market.
