Not all wedding invites are created equal. Some just announce a date. But a few feel like an experience. That’s what The Great Indian Studio set out to create invites that don’t just inform but move people.

Established in 2020 by Kolkata based husband wife duo Sandip and Madhu Singhania, The Great Indian Studio is now one of India’s most trusted names in custom animated digital wedding invitations. What began as a project driven by passion back then is now a full-fledged design house with a loyal following not only in India but also across the world.

Sandip is a seasoned graphic designer with over 15 years of experience in media, advertising, and the wedding industry. Meanwhile Madhu, with over 7 years in design and visual storytelling, brings in an artistic lens and emotional depth to each piece. Together, they built the studio with one clear goal to give every invitation a personal, creative soul.

From weddings and anniversaries to baby showers, housewarmings, kirtans, and pujas, the studio crafts digital invitations that feel like a celebration. Their work is supported by their skilled team of illustrators, motion designers, and graphic artists who under guidance bring each concept to life with beautiful details and flair.

The star of their offerings is the animated video invite, often complete with voiceover narration, visuals, and music. These aren’t plug and play templates. Every frame is custom illustrated, every animation thought through, and every story told with heart. The result feels more like a short cinematic film than a wedding card.

What truly sets them apart is their deep cultural lens. Whether it’s a Himachali wedding with folk musicians and fluttering prayer flags, or a Marwari event featuring torans and haveli-inspired architecture, every project reflects Indian heritage with modern elegance.

One standout project was the Traditional Rajbari Bengali invite that paid homage to the grandeur of old Bengal. With red-and-white motifs, Shankha Pola elements, and Durga Puja-style music, the piece felt like a tribute to the bride’s roots. It wasn’t just design. It was nostalgia, pride, and storytelling rolled into one true tribute.

The studio’s approach is storytelling-first. Every couple’s journey becomes the foundation of the invite. Visuals are matched with emotion. Music is chosen to reflect feeling. And the narration, often in the couple’s own voice, makes it deeply personal.

They’ve now designed over 500+ invitations for couples across India and countries like the US, UK, Canada, UAE, and Singapore. Many of their clients are NRIs looking for something rooted in tradition yet tailored to modern aesthetics. The Great Indian Studio speaks to that beautifully.

In an age where most digital invites look the same, this studio has carved out a niche for custom, culturally rich, and emotionally led design. Wedding planners love them. Couples trust them. And the guests? They always remember the invite.

The studio’s commitment to craftsmanship over mass production and their focus on culture, design, and personal stories have helped them position themselves as a premium boutique studio not just another invitation vendor. As they’re not just making invites. They’re making moments.

If you’re a couple looking for something that feels like you or a planner wanting a one-of-a-kind experience for your clients, The Great Indian Studio is setting a new gold standard in Indian wedding invitations.
