Ahmedabad: Saturday marked the successful conclusion of the International Moot Court Competition 2023, hosted by the Unitedworld School of Law (UWSL) of Karnavati University at the university campus in Uvarsad, Gandhinagar. Honourable Justice Nisha M Thakore, a judge at the Gujarat High Court and Honourable Justice Ravikumar Tripathi, the chairperson of the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) – Gujarat, remained present as guests of honour during the ceremony, along with Dr P Lakshmi, Dean, UWSL.

The International Moot Court Competition 2023 is being held on the theme of Environmental Law and International Human Rights Law. Students from across top ranking law colleges and institutions from across the country including states like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan, among others, in addition to students from universities in Nepal and Bangladesh, participated in the competition.

At Karnavati University, it is a constant endeavour of the team to adopt a holistic learning approach and prepare the youth for utilising their academic knowledge to solve real-world challenges. The international moot court competition is one such endeavour to provide the legal professionals of the future with a platform to gain knowledge about the law to students beyond classroom learning but also hone their oratory skills and enable them to use the academic concepts to address real life situations.
