New Delhi : Talented Indians have carried their country’s banner all over the globe. This year promises to be especially memorable in the World of Dance competition, as an Indian dance team will be representing the United States in the World Series. In all likelihood, this will be a first in human history.

From among over a hundred submissions, Ethnique Performing Arts in Dallas has sent their students to participate in World of Dance. They auditioned with an Indian cultural dance, and the American judges were so impressed that they gave her a golden ticket to the World Finals, where she will compete against groups from countries all over the world, including Poland, Japan, China, India, Tokyo, Bolivia, Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, Peru, Rome, and many more.

The World of Dance Championship attracts competitors from over 25 nations annually.

From August 11-14, 2023, the World of Dance Finals, including over a hundred invited teams, will take place for the first time at the Anaheim Convention Centre. The World Finals Championships are held over the course of a four-day International Dance Festival, which also features performances by celebrities.

The 2018 edition of World of Dance is set to be spectacular. The United States is sending an Indian dance troupe to the international competition. Thirteen dancers, all younger than eighteen, make up Team Ethnique Juniors, and they’re on their way to Los Angeles. They are all intriguing and proudly American-born, yet their parents are non-resident Indians (NRIs) who are bringing wonderful Indian culture to America.

Assistant Choreographers Anjali Pillendula, Phaneendra Prasad Palanki, Hemanth Kumar Kakani, and Rishul Aggarwal, along with Ethnic Choreographers Erem Khan Sonar and Vishnu Sonar, are overjoyed to perform a traditional Indian dance in honour of America’s diversity on the main stage of World of Dance.

It’s a great honour for India and Indians that a team from India has qualified for the World of Dance finals to represent the United States.
