In-charge Gujarat DGP Vikas Sahay on a two day visit in Surat, appreciates work of Surat police
Surat (Gujarat) : Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Vikas Sahay, who is appointed in-charge director general of police of Gujarat after the retirement of incumbent DGP Ashish Bhatia, is on a two-day visit to the diamond city of Surat.
Sahay arrived in Surat on Monday morning and drove straight to the police commissioner’s office in Athwalines where he met Surat police commissioner Ajay Tomar and other senior police officers in the city police department.
A meeting of the senior officers in the police department was held where Sahay was given a detailed presentation on the activities and actions taken by the Surat police to improve law and order situation.
Talking with media persons, in-charge DGP Vikas Sahay said, “After taking charge of Gujarat DPG it was my wish to meet all my colleagues in various cities and districts of Gujarat. I am on a meet and greet mission. I am impressed with the work done by the Surat police to improve law and order situation”
Earlier in the day, Sahay felicitated some of the valiant police officers and staff members who have done exemplary work to protect the law and order situation in the city.
