How Yuva Unstoppable transformed life of Jaanki Parmar

In the beginning of my journey, my family of six was living in terrible poverty. My dad was a day worker, so he had to fight poverty every day. Getting through Std. X felt like a pipe dream, but with the help of a local charity, I was able to enrol in a public school and finish my education. I was motivated to do well in school despite the difficulties at home. Through determination and self-control, I was able to learn what I needed to know and get a 93% without any formal instruction. I was able to escape my impoverished background thanks to my education.

I was in eleventh grade when I found out about the Yuva Unstoppable scholarship. After a member of their team came to speak to my class, I discovered that I may be eligible for a scholarship that would allow me to pursue my goal of becoming a medical entry coach. I needed the chance, but I couldn’t afford to take it. I applied for the scholarship at my teacher’s suggestion, and when I found out I had been chosen, it was like a bolt of lightning striking through the clouds. The scholarship was crucial not only to my financial stability, but also to the realisation of my ambition.

Jaanki is from a background where resources are scant and where aspirations are frequently left unfulfilled. “This scheme, just doesn’t provide financial support; it opens doors that children don’t know exist,” Amitabh Shah, founder of Yuva Unstoppable, says in his vision. It’s not about handing away cash; it’s about helping young people reach their full potential and seize the opportunities that lie before them.

In a slum area of Ahmedabad, my family and I have made do with an unbelievable one-room dwelling. The members of Yuva Unstoppable who came to my house were appalled by our living conditions. They were sympathetic, but they also provided actual assistance. So that I could stay on top of my schoolwork, they gave me a laptop and a year’s worth of internet access. The Yuva Unstoppable scholarship has meant so much more to me than simply financial stability. They’ve helped my family through some of our worst moments, offering support and comfort along with material aid.

I’ve made myself a cosy little study nook in a far-off corner of our studio apartment. The scholarship and my dogged determination have allowed me to put my dreams down on paper, and while they previously seemed like faraway stars, they are now within grasp. An investment in India’s young is an investment in India’s future, as Amitabh Shah so eloquently puts it.

Through my experiences with Yuva Unstoppable, I have grown from a dreamer into a determined young lady. I am living proof of the transformative power of scholarship funding and the unyielding faith in the abilities of young people. My life’s story demonstrates that anybody, no matter how little their resources, may build a bright future with the help of those who believe in them.
