Haryana Launches Free Drone Training Initiative for Rural Youth

This collaboration marks Haryana as the first state in India to launch free training programs specifically targeting drone manufacturing and assembly technicians, establishing a precedent for similar initiatives across the country.

Haryana : In a groundbreaking initiative, AVPL International, a pioneer in India’s drone sector, to provide free specialized training at its Gurugram Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO) center in Haryana. This comes as part of the initiative launched by the Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission (HSRLM) under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushal Yojana (DDU-GKY). Designed to equip Haryana’s youth with advanced skills, this initiative addresses the growing demand in the rapidly expanding drone industry.

The program, valued at ₹40,000-₹50,000, will be offered for free to eligible youth from districts including Bhiwani, Hisar, Gurugram, Jind, Mewat, and Palwal. Under this initiative, AVPL International will train 140 individuals in drone manufacturing and assembly while also equipping 210 youth with skills in agri-input services and dairy entrepreneurship. This collaboration marks Haryana as the first state in India to launch free training programs specifically targeting drone manufacturing and assembly technicians, establishing a precedent for similar initiatives across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Amarinder Kaur, CEO of Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission, said, “This step will prove to be a new revolution in the field of skill development in Haryana. Our aim is that every youth not only becomes technically proficient but also gains better employment opportunities. This initiative will serve as a milestone in empowering and making rural India self-reliant.”

With AVPL International’s proven track record of success under the DDU-GKY program, which includes training 360 individuals with a success rate of 71.39% securing jobs (257 individuals). This initiative promises to create a pool of skilled professionals ready to contribute to the booming drone sector. By focusing on rural empowerment and technological innovation, the program aims to transform Haryana’s rural landscape while setting the stage for sustainable employment opportunities.
