AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava threatened the police of dire consequence as he and the tribal people were prevented from entering the collector’s office for representation.

AAP workers and tribal people led by MLA Chaitar Vasava protested at the Collector’s office over the long pending issues in Narmada district, due to which heavy police presence was put in place at the Collector’s office. At that time, a clash was  seen between the police and the party workers when they were stopped from entering the collector’s office for representation.

Chaitar Vasava has alleged that TDO has given targets to the government officers in the collector office for the ongoing membership drive of the BJP.

Dediapada MLA Chaitar Vasava reached the Rajpipla Collector’s office along with his supporters to submit a representation on several issues of Narmada district,  a police convoy was rushed there. The outer doors of the office were locked to prevent anyone from entering the office, but supporters who came to present entered anyway and chanted slogans. Then the MLA entered into verbal altercation with the police and advised them to become public servants and not the servants of the political leaders.

As the matter became more intense, MLA Chaitar Vasava accused the police of taking bribe money from bootleggers and gambling den owners. MLA Vasava openly called out the names such as Kario, Bhurio, Lalio or Bholio and alleged that the people are taking huge bribes.

“You are taking bribes from the bootleggers and gambling den owners. I know you are charging Rs. 5 lakh for 10 boxes of liquor and Rs.10 lakhs for 20 boxes, we will expose everything. The police have given licences to the bootleggers, which I will expose in the coming days. We are not afraid of your warnings or lathicharge. If you want to do that, we are ready. Let’s… fight. We will fight face to face. All your salaries come from people’s taxes, not from anyone else’s pocket” said MLA Vasava.

According to MLA Vasava, the BJP leadership has given target to government officers for enrolling members in the BJP. The officials in the MANREGA department have been given target of 13,000 members, Talati in a small village is given a target of 5,000 members, and Talati in the big village has been given 8,000 members.

Chaitar Vasava further said that the BJP membership campaign has been conducted by the administration since last September 9. They have caught  as many as 17 people and have stopped them from doing this. These people have been issued icards by Dediapada TDO Jagdish Soni and they register members by using OTPs.

He also alleged that there is no education facility in Narmada district, no machines in hospital, no road facility, lack of employment and basic facilities. Along with this, Chaitar Vasava said that if the representations made by us are not completed within 5 days and if action is not taken against the officials registering the members, then there will be a fierce agitation.
