Gujarat State Table Tennis Championships 2025 kicks off in Gandhidham
Gujarat’s top 550 paddlers compete for ₹4.75 lakh prize money as the state’s premier table tennis championship begins at Adipur’s Haresh Sangtani Sports Complex.

Gandhidham | Gujarat —The Gujarat State and Inter-District Table Tennis Championships 2025, organised by the Gujarat State Table Tennis Association (GSTTA), commenced today at the Late M. P. Mittra Indoor Stadium, Haresh Sangtani Sports Complex, Adipur, Gandhidham.
Supported by the Sports Authority of Gujarat and co-sponsored by the Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce & Industries, the five-day championship is the most prestigious table tennis tournament in Gujarat, offering maximum ranking points in the state TT calendar.
Top paddlers, 550 entries and record prize money
As many as 550 entries will compete on nine Stiga tables during this championship. Leading state paddlers such as Dhairya Parmar, Chitrax Bhatt, Frenaz Chipia, Oishiki Joardar, Filzahfatema Kadri, Abhilash Raval, Namna Jayswal, and Jaynil Mehta will battle for top honours.
For the first time in Indian Table Tennis history, team events will also receive cash prizes, making this a landmark edition. A total prize purse of ₹4.75 lakh is at stake, reflecting the event’s growing stature.
Future stars ready to shine
Young talents including Vivaan Dave, Aayush Tanna, Riya Jayswal, Pratha Pawar, Janmejay Patel, Dhyey Jani, Daniya Godil, Dev Bhatt, Himansh Dahiya, Jiya Trivedi, and Mouboni Chatterjee will showcase their skills in front of state selectors and fans.
Apart from individual titles, 13 district teams will compete across six team categories — men’s, women’s, boys’ & girls’ U-19, and boys’ & girls’ U-15.
‘Landmark moment for Gujarat TT’: GSTTA President
“This championship reflects the growing strength and reach of our sport in Gujarat. For the first time ever, prize money will be awarded in team championships. It’s a landmark step for the sport’s upliftment,” said GSTTA president Pramod Chaudhary.
GSTTA secretary Hari Pillai added, “We are thankful to Kachchh District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA) for providing the venue and infrastructure for this prestigious event.”
