Gujarat : President Murmu to attend Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati’s 200th Birth Anniversary event at Tankara on Feb. 12

Surat : President Draupadi Murmu will visit Gujarat to attend the three-day celebration to mark the 200^th birth anniversary of Arya Samaj founder, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati in Tankara, Morbi district in Gujarat on February 12.

The three-day event starting from February 10  is set to attract a remarkable assembly of more than 2 lakh Arya Samaj members worldwide, representing the impact of the profound teachings of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati. President of India, Draupadi Murmu will remain present at the event as the chief guest and address the members on grace the occasion as chief guest and address the Arya Samaj members on February 12.

Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will participate on 10th February, being the inaugural day of the 3 day event at Tankara. Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s presence will be the highlight, on 11th February, and, on the same day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address the assembly of followers as well as the millions of viewers watching the proceedings live on the various television and social channels of Arya Samaj.

Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati’s birth anniversary is of significant historical and philosophical significance, as it commemorates the establishment of the reform movement in India and his ardent advocacy for the Vedas and Vedic culture.
