Gujarat : Joitaram Patel, Labji Thakor joins BJP alongside several other folk artists

Gandhinagar : Former Congress legislator from Dhanera, Joitaram Patel and former independent candidate from Deesa  in Bansakantha, Lebji Thakor and others including several Gujarati cinema and folk artists joined the BJP on Tuesday at the state party headquarters, ‘Shree Kamalam’.

The state president welcomed all the new inductees into the saffron party. “Under the  leadership of the PM Narendra Modi and home and cooperative minister Amit Shah, the country is moving ahead towards new direction of development. The global view about India too is changing while the country is moving towards Self Reliance. The people of India also has immense trust in Narendra Modi. It is through such developmental works and the leadership of the PM Narendra Modi, that a large congregation of workers, leaders are opting to join the BJP,” said Paatil.

“It was because of Congress’s absence during the Ram mandir consecration ceremony that I joined the BJP today. I had severed ties with Congress fifteen days ago,” said Joitaram Patel before the induction in the saffron fold.

Besides Patel, a former independent candidate for the Deesa assembly constituency, Labji Thakor also joined the BJP on Tuesday. A well-known folk song writer and singer Dev Pagli also joined the BJP.
