Surat : A remarkable milestone in healthcare is set to be celebrated at the Surat Diamond Hospital Aarogya Samiti-run RSTV Diamond hospital, as it completes a successful decade of service. On March 17, a grand celebration event will take place at the Kiran Hospital-2 ground in Mota Varachha, where about 400 baby girls will be honored with Rs 1 lakh bond certificate each.

Under the auspices of the Surat Diamond Hospital Aarogya Samiti, the RSTV Diamond hospital has been a beacon of healthcare for the community, and this celebration underscores its commitment to providing exemplary service. The distribution of bond certificates to the newborn girls symbolizes not just a celebration of life but also an investment in their future.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health, will preside over the ceremony, accompanied by various dignitaries from the esteemed diamond industry. This event not only celebrates the milestone achieved by the hospital but also acknowledges the invaluable contribution of the diamond industry to the welfare of the community.

Reflecting on the accomplishments of the hospital, Dinesh Navadia, the secretary of RSTV Diamond hospital, highlighted, “About 11.64 lakh patients have benefited from the medical services provided by the RSTV Diamond hospital over the past decade. Among them, approximately 26,556 mothers have received concessional rates for pregnancy deliveries, amounting to approximately Rs 250 crore worth of medical relief.”

Navadia further elaborated on the hospital’s initiative, stating, “The RSTV Diamond hospital has already awarded Rs 1 lakh bond certificates to approximately 2,000 baby girls born within its premises. We continue to offer free deliveries to mothers of baby girls, alongside these bond certificates, as part of our commitment to empowering future generations.”

Looking ahead, CP Vanani, Chairman of the RSTV Diamond hospital, announced ambitious plans for expansion, revealing, “A 450-bed hospital, known as ‘Kiran-2,’ along with a nursing college, is underway at Mota Varachha, with an estimated cost of Rs. 425 crore. This initiative, supported by the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) and the Gujarat Government, aims to cater to the healthcare needs of diamond artisans and lower-middle-class families.”
