Mundra | Gujarat — In a significant boost to India’s energy security, the Indian-flagged crude oil tanker Jag Laadki has successfully docked at Adani Ports Mundra, delivering a crucial shipment amid ongoing global supply uncertainties.

The tanker carried approximately 80,886 metric tonnes of crude oil sourced from the UAE, loaded at Fujairah Port. With an impressive length of over 274 meters and a deadweight tonnage exceeding 164,000 tonnes, Jag Laadki is among the large-capacity vessels supporting India’s growing energy demands.

Officials highlighted that the timely arrival of such shipments is critical, especially as geopolitical tensions continue to impact global oil supply chains. “This delivery ensures uninterrupted refinery operations and strengthens India’s preparedness during volatile times,” a port official said.

Mundra Port, operated by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, once again demonstrated its capability to handle large-scale crude imports efficiently. The port facilitated safe berthing and seamless maritime coordination, ensuring the swift transfer of cargo to support downstream industries.

Experts note that ports like Mundra play a vital role in safeguarding India’s energy lifelines. With refineries heavily dependent on imported crude, efficient logistics and port infrastructure become crucial in maintaining supply stability.

“The successful handling of this tanker reflects India’s growing maritime strength and resilience in managing essential imports,” an industry observer said.
