Gujarat Cabinet Portfolios Announced: Harsh Sanghavi Retains Home, Modhwadia Gets Forest & Environment

Gandhinagar | Gujarat — After a one-and-a-half-hour long meeting of the new cabinet minister under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the ministers have been allotted their portfolios. Deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi has retained his portfolio of home affairs, while Arjun Modhwadia, who is a cabinet minister, has been given the charge of Forest and environment and science and technology department. 

There are nine cabinet ministers which includes Kanu Desai, Rushikesh Patel, Kunwarji Bavalia, Arjun Modhwadia, Jitu Vaghani, Raman Solanki, Pradhyuman Vaja, and Naresh Patel. While, other 13 ministers were sworn in as the minister of state, with three given independent charge. 

Kanu Desai, who has been given the portfolio of the finance minister, was the first to take charge of the office, while other ministers will take charge of their respective offices on the auspicious day of Dhanteras.

Trikam Chhanga – Higher and Technical Education

Rushikesh Patel – Energy and Petrochemical Department, Panchayat and Parliamentary Affairs

Sanjay Mahida- Revenue Department, Rural Development and Disaster Management

Kanubhai Desai- Finance Department

Jeetu Vaghani- Agriculture, Cooperation and Fisheries
