Ahmedabad : An Afghan man from Delhi was caught by the Gujarat ATS on Friday with 460 grams of heroin.  The suspect, whose name was Mohammad Yasin, had been living in India without permission for two years. The person who was charged was also part of a foreign drug ring. The accused person used to bring drugs from the sea of Oman to the beach of Veraval in Gujarat and then take them to Delhi.

On March 5, Gujarat ATS filed a crime against NDPS. In September 2023, Isha Hussain Rao, Pakistani Moortuja, Isha Rao’s wife Tahira, son Arbaaz, daughter Masuma, and fiancé Rizwan Node brought a lot of heroin from the sea of Oman to the beach of Veraval in Gujarat. They then gave the heroin to a Nigerian citizen in the Tilak Nagar area of Delhi. This is what led the Gujarat ATS to file a crime against a total of 9 people.

As ATS looked into the case, they learned that people from Nigeria and Afghanistan are also involved in the drug trade. Mohammad Yasin, an Afghan citizen who lives in Greater Noida at the moment, is involved in this crime. Mohammad Yasin has also kept heroin on hand. The ATS team then went to Yasin’s house in Delhi and searched it.

It was found that Yasin lived in Kabul, Afghanistan, even though he had a medical visa to come to India in 2017. In 2017, he came to India on a medical visa and worked as a translator in Delhi for Afghans who were also on medical visas. His visa ran out two years ago, so he asked for a refugee card. About eight months ago, he bought four kilograms of drugs from a Nigerian. Some of it was sold in stores, and the other 460 grams were with him. He was also caught with this heroin before he could give it to someone.
