Gujarat : 50 IAS officers transferred ahead of Lok Sabha Polls

Gandhinagar : Tuesday marked the beginning of a significant administrative makeover that was engineered by the Gujarat administration. In preparation for the impending Lok Sabha elections, which are slated to take place in April and May of this year, 50 IAS officials were transferred. The reshuffle, which is a strategic move on the political chessboard, has garnered attention due to the transfer of key officials. Among those who were transferred is the Vadodara collector, AB Gor, who was in charge of the magisterial inquiry into the tragic Harni Lake boat incident that resulted in the deaths of twelve schoolchildren and two teachers.

The position of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) has been assigned to Gor, who has been moved to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

Gor, an officer who graduated in 2009, had requested an extension of five days in order to do an investigation. This was in response to the directives given by the Chief Minister to the Vadodara District Magistrate to produce a report within ten days after the tragic boat capsize that occurred on January 18. According to Gor, the paperwork that were supposed to be obtained from the Vadodara Municipal Corporation, the District Education Officer, and the police had not yet been received.

For the time being, Gor will be replaced by Jamnagar Collector BA Shah.

According to the other reorganisation, DDO Ahmedabad MK Dave has been transferred to the position of Collector of Gandhinagar. The duties of the Morbi Collector, GT Pandya, have been transferred to the Dwarka Collector. Kheda Collector Amit Prakash Yadav has been demoted from his position as Navsari Collector. Dr. Sourabh Pardhi, the MD of TCGL (Gujarat Tourism), has been transferred to the position of Surat Collector. In Rajkot, the DyMC The position of Chhota Udepur Collector has been switched to Anil Dhamelia. In the Home department (Law and Order), Anil Dhameliya has been promoted to the position of Collector Dahod. Kiran Jhaveri, who was formerly the Commissioner of Sales Tax, has started working as the Morbi Collector. Neha Kumari, the DyMC of the AMC, has been posted as the Mahisagar Collector.

DDO Jadeja of Morbi has been transferred to the position of Gir Somnath Collector. Valsad Collector Kshipra Agre has been promoted to the position of Navsari Collector. The position of DDO Rajkot has been given to Dr. Navnath Gavhane, who was formerly the Dy Secretary of Gujarat State Medical Services Corporation Ltd. Jasmine Hasrat, who was previously serving as the Dy Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, became the DDO Mehsana. The position of DDO Patan has been transferred to Add Industries Commissioner BM Prajapati. Amreli has been promoted to the position of Director of Higher Education, PB Pandya.

In his new role as DDO Junagadh, Nitin Sangwan, Director of Fisheries, has been promoted. As a result of this, SK Modi has been promoted to the position of District Development Officer in Gandhinagar. Bhavnagar’s Regional Commissioner of Municipalities, GH Solanki, has been promoted to the position of District DDO for the city. RM Tanna, who was formerly the Municipal Commissioner of Junagadh, has been transferred to the position of DDO Surendranagar. Videh Khare, who was formerly serving as the Mission Director of the Gujarat State Electronics Mission, has been transferred to the position of DDO Ahmedabad. Heda, the DDO Shivani Goyal has been hired as the DDO for Surat. SD Vasava, who was an Executive Director of the Gujarat State Tribal Development Residential Educational Institution Society (GSTDREIS), has been promoted to the position of District Director of Kheda.

Surendranagar of the DDO The position of JS of the Women and Child Development department has been transferred to PN Makwana. Dangs RM Damor, the DDO, has been transferred to the position of JS Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation department. The DDO in Rajkot AMC has appointed Dev Choudhary to the position of DyMC. Mehsana, the DDO The position of Municipal Commissioner of Junagadh has been transferred to Dr. Om Prakash.

Manish Gurwani, the DDO of Valsad, has been promoted to the position of Mission Director of the Gujarat State Electronics Mission. In the new role of DyMC Rajkot, DDO Banaskantha Swapnil Khare has been promoted. The position of Director of Higher Education has been transferred to DDO Amreli Gurav Ramesh. It has been decided to rename DDO Junagadh MIrant Parikh as DyMC AMC. The position of managing director of Gujarat State Medical Service Corporation Ltd. has been transferred to DDO Chhotaudepur Ganga Singh. DDO Gandhinagar Surabhi Gautam has been promoted to the position of Director of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).Prashant Jilova, the DDO of Bhavnagar, has been promoted to the position of Add Industries Commissioner.

Kheda KL Bachani, the Collector, has been promoted to the position of Director of Information. A change has been made to the collector of Surat Ayush Oak, who is now the Valsad Collector. The position of Chief Executive Officer of the Water and Sanitation Management Organisation (WSASMO) has been transferred to Chhotaudepur Collector Stuti Charan. Sujal Mayatra, who was formerly the Secretary of the Revenue Department, has been promoted to the position of Rural Development Commissioner. Within the city of Ahmedabad, the position of Regional Commissioner of Municipalities has been transferred to DDO Gir Somnath Ravindra Khatale.
