Gurgaon: The ET Inspiring Women Leaders 2023 Award for Healthcare Leadership was presented to Sweta Mangal, co-founder of Ziqitza Healthcare Limited, one of India’s leading emergency medical services providers. Female leaders who have inspired others and sparked movement in their fields are being recognised for their outstanding contributions with this award.

Ziqitza Healthcare Limited is a leading provider of emergency medical services in India. The company offers ambulance transportation, medical equipment rentals, and educational opportunities for healthcare professionals. The organisation has managed more than 5,000 ambulances in 28 Indian states, providing care to 48 million people, since its start in 2005. Ziqitza is an Indian and UAE-based company that manufactures and sells emergency vehicles. Ziqitza hopes to increase its presence in all six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates) during the next several years.

The ET Inspiring Women Leaders 2023 Award ceremony, sponsored by Senco Gold and Diamonds, took place at the Grand Hyatt in Gurgaon on April 9. The award goes to the most accomplished working women in India who have made a national or international impact despite facing significant challenges along the way. Bollywood superstar Vidya Balan was there to accept an award.

Harshita Jain of Consulting Engineers Group Limited, Chinu Kala of Rubans Accessories, Dr. Somdutta Singh of Assiduus Global, Dr. Deepa Malik, Joita Sen of Senco Gold and Diamonds, Ritu Agarwal of Gyandhara Industries Private Limited, and Sweta were among the other 49 women leaders to receive the award.

Sweta was a Gurukul Chevening Scholar at the London School of Economics and earned an MBA at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the United States. Sweta returned from the United States to find employment. Almost immediately, she was hired by major corporations including Zed TV, TATA AIG, and Marico Industries.

Sweta Mangal and her husband founded the organisation with the goal of providing high-quality medical treatment to everyone, especially those living in rural and outlying areas of India. Sweta Mangal’s foresight and direction have been instrumental in building Ziqitza Healthcare Limited into what it is today. Her work in the healthcare industry has been recognised not just in India, but also internationally. Under her leadership, Ziqitza Healthcare has established itself as an international benchmark for healthcare providers. Sweta is also the co-founder of ZiviaIVF, a leading fertility clinic in Jaipur and Pune, India.

Sweta also created a CBSE-accredited Mangal Newton School in her birthplace of Beawar, Rajasthan, to fulfill her passion for providing excellent education to youngsters. The school now has over 2000 students enrolled. Sweta Mangal’s vision and leadership have been critical to the development of Ziqitza Healthcare Limited. Her contributions to the transformation of the healthcare business have been recognized not just in India, but also abroad. Ziqitza Healthcare has become a model for healthcare organizations across the globe under her guidance.

Sweta Mangal, the co-founder of Ziqitza Healthcare Limited, stated, “I am overwhelmed to receive the ET Inspiring Women Leaders 2023 Award for Healthcare Leadership.” “Rather than promoting businesses, Ziqitza is all about serving patients in need of emergency care.” This has allowed me to develop exponentially in the realm of social business.”
