Duroplast India Launches Howrah uPVC Profile Extrusion Facility
Duroplast India Takes a Giant Leap with New uPVC Profile Extrusion Plant
New Delhi: Duroplast India Pvt. Ltd., announced the launch of its new facility in Howrah, West Bengal. The factory will be used to extrude uPVC window profiles that are both very durable and highly energy efficient. The system supplier’s extrusion facility, in operation there since 2010, is located nearby.
uPVC is rapidly replacing other window materials due to its better aesthetics, longer lifetime, lower maintenance needs, enhanced insulation, stronger impact strength, greater wind load capacities, and factory-finished windows.
Duroplast, a rapidly developing company at 20% Y-O-Y, has set its eyes on increasing its domestic presence and exports to the Indian and African subcontinental markets in response to increased demand in the housing, hotel, education, and healthcare sectors. A few small orders came in from Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal recently. A number of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Indian Institutes of Science (IISc), and, to top it all off, the homes of Members of Parliament of India have all been built with the help of its manufacturing partners.
The new uPVC profile extrusion facility, located in the Howrah region of West Bengal, cost the company 40 crores to construct, significantly increasing its capacity for mass manufacturing.
The building is 1,500,000 square feet in size and contains 6 extrusion lines that have already been ordered and are ready for production thanks to a 40-crore investment. Fully automated mixing and a SCADA-based conveying system, along with the addition of six additional, are planned for the next year. For the purpose of adding colour to window profiles, a foiling line has also been set up. As a consequence, production capacity for profiles has doubled by 8,000 tonnes, which is equivalent to producing 100,000 sets of windows each year. The company also said it planned to increase spending on advertising and expand its network of showrooms and distribution centres around the nation.
There are now 15 uPVC extrusion lines at the factory, however this may be increased to 30 lines with further investment and a buildout to a total of 3,000,000 square feet. The complex has a sizable logistics space as well as a technical training centre for the companies that have joined forces. Managing Director Neeraj Agarwal told reporters today that it would be the biggest window profile extrusion factory in India.
The biggest uPVC factory in India is in Howrah, some 50 km from Kolkata, and it now employs 200 people directly and another 1,000 people indirectly.
Manufacturing construction supplies, Duroplast. It sells uPVC window and door systems, PVC doors, and wall panels.
Mr. Lalit Agarwal, the company’s chairman, has said that in order to achieve market dominance in an increasingly competitive environment, the business would continue to investigate both organic and inorganic opportunities for expansion.
Mr. Lalit Agarwal said, “We have built the groundwork with Duroplast India and the newly established production plant to further diversify and optimise our product- and service-portfolio to satisfy the future market.”With our new manufacturing plant, which boasts the most profile varieties of any company in this business, we have begun working towards our lofty goals. Our inventory consists of the following series: Elite (67), Elixir (60), Elegant (50), Vent (39), Indiana (34), and Premium Door (67). Additionally, we’d like to further optimise our product line.
“We deploy the best-in-class, one-of-a-kind tropical lead-free mix compound in the new production facility since it was specifically created to prevent the discoloration of profiles in areas with particularly high UV radiation in the subcontinent. The business produces systems tailored to specific markets and industries in accordance with worldwide quality requirements, including casement, dual sash casement with choices for grilles and insect mesh, tilt & turn systems, and sliding variations with one or more panes. All of our primary profiles have co-extruded glazing beads and pre-fixed thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) gaskets in grey and black colours. Dark Oak, Rustic Oak, Golden Oak, Mahogany, Anthracite Grey Smooth, and Black Smooth are the six colour options we provide for foil with many more to come.”
“We have been in the business for twelve years, and from the beginning, we have written a success narrative with our clients. Our new facility has the required infrastructure in addition to the most recent, cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, which will further contribute to the success of our clients. We wish to continue expanding in India and moving forward with our exciting and prosperous development along with them. I want to express my gratitude to our channel partners for their ongoing support during this journey as well as to our workers for their commitment to creating Duroplast one of the most well-liked and demanding profile systems in India.”
“We provide further support for the product through marketing, teaching people about its benefits, and holding conferences and consultations with architects, developers of real estate, and contractors. We encourage them to explain the benefits of uPVC window systems and the difficulties they encountered while picking out and installing window systems. We educate them on appropriate items and emphasise the need of upholding quality and standards in accordance with BS EN 12606 or the newly published IS 17953.”
The second director in the company, Mr. Mehul Agarwal quoted, “We will be at the centre of these changes and to further expand our production and service capability across India, the new extrusion plant is an initiative towards the Made in India campaign and begins on a path to establish a 5 trillion-dollar economy.”
