Dr Vinesh Shah is elected as the honorary joint secretary of IMA-Surat

Surat: Dr. Vinesh Shah, a renowned medico-legal expert in Gujarat has been elected uncontested on the post of the honorary joint secretary of the Indian Medical Association’s (IMA) Surat chapter on Wednesday.

Dr. Shah was elected uncontested at the executive committee election of the IMA (Surat) for the year 2021-22. He (Dr. Shah) is giving his voluntary service in the IMA for the last many years and that he has remained on the post of media spokesperson for a long time now.

Dr. Shah is the president of the Jain Doctors’ Federation (JDF) and that he is the brainchild behind setting up clinics in different parts of the city for offering medical treatment to the poor and needy patients for petty charges.

At a time when the medical expenses have become dearer with the increasing cost of medicines and the consultation fees charged by the doctors, Dr. Vinesh Shah thought of the unique initiative of setting up clinics for offering medical services to the patients for just Rs 20.

Dr. Shah told TBT, “I am thankful to the executive committee for electing me uncontested on the post of the honorary joint secretary”
