Double Murder Accused Sukho Patel Felicitates BJP State President in Daman

Daman, Union Territory – Former Daman District Panchayat president and BJP leader Suresh Jagu Patel alias Sukho, who is accused in a sensational double murder case in the union territory of Daman in 2018, welcomed and garlanded the BJP president of Dadra and Nagar Haveli (DNH), Daman and Diu, Mahesh Agaria in the presence of state in-charge Dushyant Patel at Bhimpore in Daman on Wednesday.

Sources said that Sukho is out on bail.
In 2020, Sukho who was on the run after the sensational double murder case, was nabbed by the Daman police in February 2020. He was brought to Daman on a transfer warrant, after he was on the run for several months when his name cropped up during investigation in a double murder case.
Police arrested Patel and his aide Sajidali alias Salim Chaudhary from Mohali on the basis of specific information.In April 2018, Ajay Raman Patel and Dhirendra alias Dhiru alias Dhiriya Durlabh Patel were shot dead by some assailants and an offence was registered at Nani Daman police station. The complaint in this connection was lodged by Chhotu Patel. Police nabbed Noon Majam, Mohammad Hasan Abdul Aziz Siddiqui, Rashid Murtaza and a couple of other accused in the case.
Sukho Patel’s elder brother Ramesh Patel alias Michael is a bootlegging kingpin. Michael had earlier been arrested in multiple cases by cops of different police stations of south Gujarat.
Ramesh was controlling the entire bootlegging network of IMFL that was being pumped into Gujarat. The Enforcement Directorate had initiated action against Ramesh under Prevention of Money Laundering Act and seized his properties and cash worth several crores.
Patel and his wife were also booked in the past in a few offences of bootlegging after seizure of liquor by Valsad police.
