Platform marks 8 years of operation with 100+ university partnerships and 1,000+ programmes across India

BENGALURU, June 1, 2026 – CourseConnect, India’s learner-focused educational guidance platform, today announced it has crossed 50,000 learners guided since its founding in 2018 – a milestone that underscores the rapid rise of online higher education across the country. The platform now collaborates with more than 100 universities, offers access to over 1,000 academic programmes, and continues to support students and working professionals in achieving their educational and professional aspirations.

Founded on July 1, 2018 by Yuvaraj Shet, CourseConnect was built to address a specific gap in India’s education landscape: the difficulty of navigating a rapidly expanding universe of online degree options. The platform enables learners to explore UGC-approved programmes, compare institutions on accreditation, fee structure, duration, and placement outcomes, and receive one-on-one counselling aligned to their career goals. Documentation support, eligibility assessment, and post-enrolment follow-ups are part of the end-to-end service model.

“When we started in 2018, the average learner was spending three to six months researching programmes before making a decision — and still wasn’t confident they had chosen correctly. Eight years and 50,000 learners later, we have brought that decision cycle down to weeks with a counselling model that maps each learner’s career goals directly to the right programme and institution. The market has never had more options. Our job is to make sure that abundance works in the learner’s favour, not against them.”

– Yuvaraj Shet, Founder & CEO, CourseConnect

A significant proportion of CourseConnect’s learners are working professionals seeking to upgrade qualifications without interrupting active careers. The platform’s focus is on flexible, UGC-DEB-approved online programmes – spanning MBA, MCA, M.Sc. Data Science, B.Com., and M.A. degrees from institutions including VIT, Manipal University Jaipur, NMIMS, Jain Online, Amity University, and Chandigarh University – allows learners to study while earning, removing the financial and professional cost of a career break.

India’s online and distance education segment has seen sustained growth driven by rising internet penetration, increasing employer acceptance of UGC-approved online degrees, and government initiatives expanding the list of recognised institutions. With enrollment in online programmes projected to grow at over 20 per cent annually through 2028, platforms that help learners navigate programme quality and institutional credibility are playing an increasingly important role.

About CourseConnect
