Chennai Man Caught in Sextortion Case by Surat police
The girl visited Surat and spoke with the family, who filed a case with the Surat Cyber Crime Police. Surat : Surat Cyber Crime Police arrested Gurprasad Naidu from Chennai for blackmailing and extorting Rs.1.90 crores by obtaining obscene images after befriending a Surat-based doctor female on social media. The cops were taken aback when Naidu claimed that he had lost the money siphoned from the doctor girl through internet gambling.
According to sources, the doctor girl from Surat who now lives in the United States (US) met Naidu through a social media platform. When the female described herself as a doctor, the accused replied that he was also a doctor. However, they drew close to each other on the social networking platform.
Both exchanged numbers and then began conversing.
They swapped numbers and soon began speaking. Accused Gurprasad used to message and call the girl on WhatsApp from various numbers, tricking her and asking for nude images. The girl first refused, but Guruprasad Naidu used emotional blackmail to entice her into giving him nude images. After getting these images, Guruprasad revealed himself and demanded money, threatening to make the photos go viral.

The girl living abroad, far from her family, was terrified. He used to threaten and demand money via phone calls, text messages, and emails. For this, the girl paid him the money she had, piece by piece. The girl’s bank balance was settled, but Guruprasad’s demand was not. When he began begging for more money, the girl asked for money from her family and gave it to him. In this way, Guru Prasad obtained Rs. 1.90 crore in sextortion.
