Ahmedabad/Surat, Gujarat – A wave of fear and chaos gripped Gujarat on  early Tuesday morning as Ahmedabad Airport and 159 schools across India, including Surat, received terror-filled bomb threats via email, leading to the deployment of bomb squads, evacuations, and high security alerts.

The Ahmedabad Airport Authority was the first to raise an alarm after receiving an anonymous email threatening a bomb explosion on the airport premises. Authorities immediately declared a high alert and launched an extensive search operation.

Security forces, including the Ahmedabad Police, CISF, and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), swept through the terminal building, parking lot, cargo section, and all sensitive areas of the airport. “We are treating the threat with utmost seriousness. Passenger safety remains our top priority,” said an airport security official.

After hours of combing operations, no suspicious object was found, bringing temporary relief—but not without raising serious questions about vulnerabilities in India’s security ecosystem.

While the Ahmedabad airport was under lockdown, another bomb scare erupted across India when 159 schools received similar threats in the dead of night. According to DCP Vijaysinh Gurjar, the threatening emails were sent at 12:59 AM from an email ID identified as Outjacked50@gmail.com, warning of bombs and “blood baths” inside school campuses.

In Surat, two reputed institutions—G.D. Goenka School (Vesu) and Lancer Army School (Piplod)—were among those targeted. Panic gripped the campuses as students were swiftly evacuated, and bomb squads conducted intensive inspections.

“After receiving the email, we didn’t waste a second. The students and staff were immediately moved to safety,” said a senior administrator from G.D. Goenka School.

The Cyber Cell has taken charge of the digital trail. Investigators have obtained the sender’s email ID and are now tracking its origin, with technical teams analyzing metadata to uncover the identity and intent of the perpetrator.

“This is not a prank. It’s a calculated act of psychological terror. We are using all cyber forensic tools to track the individual,” said a senior Cyber Cell officer.

Meanwhile, the wave of panic has shaken parents nationwide, with many demanding tighter school security protocols. “How can we send our kids to school after such threats? What if tomorrow it’s real?” questioned Meena Sharma, a worried parent in Surat.
