Surat : Early trends from South Gujarat suggests a clear victory for the BJP in the Gujarat Elections 2022 In the high profile assembly seats such as  Katargam, Majura, Surat West, and Olpad, Mangrol, Pardi, and Jhagadia, BJP is leading with the margin of 1,500 to 20,000 votes.

Out of the total 35 assembly seats, BJP is leading in almost 27 seats and AAP leading on 3 seats.

In Surat district, the BJP is leading on 14 out of the total 16 seats. In the high profile Varachha Road constituency, AAP’s firebrand leader Alpesh Kathiriya is leading against BJP’s sitting MLA Kumar Kanani. However, AAP’s Gujarat Chief Gopal Italia is trailing in the Katargam constituency against sitting MLA and Gujarat’s Urban Development minister Vinu Moradiya.

In Surat (East) assembly constituency, Congress candidate Aslam Cycle was leading against BJP’s sitting MLA Arvind Rana with more than 7,500 votes.

Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi is leading on the Majura seat with more than 14,000 votes. Gujarat’s Transportation Minister Purnesh Modi is leading in the Surat (West) seat.

In Dediapada constituency, AAP’s Chaitar Vasava is leading against the BJP.

In Mandvi, sitting MLA of Congress Anand Chaudhari is leading.

In Pardi, BJP’s sitting MLA and Gujarat State Finance Minister Kanu Desai is leading. In Jhagadia, the seven-term MLA Chhotubhai Vasava who is contesting as an Independent candidate is trailing against BJP’s Hitesh Vasava, who is the nephew of former Gujarat Assembly speaker Ganpat Vasava.

Ganpat Vasava BJP’s sitting MLA and former Gujarat Speaker and cabinet minister is leading in the Mangrol (ST) constituency.

BJP’s sitting MLA Vijay Patel in Dangs constituency is leading.

On the Jhagadiya seat from where six term MLA Chhotu Vasava is contesting as the independent candidate, BJP’s Hitesh Vasava is leading.
