DAHOD, GUJARAT : In a startling turn of events during the ongoing elections in Gujarat’s Dahod region, Vijay Bhabhor, son of BJP MP Jasvantsinh Bhabhor, has been accused of hijacking a polling booth, capturing the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), and livestreaming the act. The incident, which has sparked outrage, highlights concerns over electoral integrity and has prompted calls for swift action from authorities.

Tensions flared in Gujarat’s Dahod area as allegations surfaced of electoral malpractice involving the son of a prominent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader. Vijay Bhabhor, son of sitting BJP MP Jasvantsinh Bhabhor, stands accused of a brazen act of booth hijacking during the ongoing polls in Dahod’s Parthampur village of Santrampur taluka, Mahisagar district.

Son of BJP leader and BJP member Vijay Bhabhor hijacked the poll booth in Dahod, Gujarat, live-streamed the entire incident on social media. Later deleted it.

According to local reports, Vijay Bhabhor purportedly seized control of a polling booth, where he proceeded to capture the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and, shockingly, livestreamed the entire episode. In the video, which has since gone viral on social media platforms, Bhabhor is seen allegedly dancing with the EVM and chanting slogans in favor of the BJP, while also reportedly indulging in abusive behavior towards election officials.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with many expressing dismay at the audacity of such electoral misconduct. While booth-capturing is not uncommon during elections, the brazenness of this act has stunned observers.

Despite the video being removed following a complaint filed by Congress candidate Dr. Prabhaben Taviad, concerns linger over the lack of immediate action by law enforcement or electoral authorities. Allegations of abusive behavior towards officials and involvement in bogus voting have further intensified calls for a swift and thorough investigation into the matter.
