Amit Kasliwal Launches Dehurdle to empower people to get rid of hurdles in life
New Delhi : Amit, like most people in 2014, would have said that in ten years he plans to be a general manager or vice president at a large corporation if asked where he saw himself. That he imagined himself wealthy, with a stockpile of assets, several expensive automobiles, a comfortable home life, and a loving family.
A significant event, however, altered not only his plans for the future, but also his perspectives on love, hardship, and contentment.
As difficult as it can be to maintain a friendship or romantic partnership, a marriage is even more challenging. So when Amit’s marriage started having problems, the simplest solution was to simply end it. Self-reflection, in-depth analysis, and the development of a methodical approach to addressing the issues presented the greatest challenge.
For this reason, Amit enrolled in an INSEAD course in August 2015. In September, at one of the meetings he had been attending, he finally understood that he was stuck in a rut.
This next decade was going to be the same as the previous decade. Sure, if you can get a better job, a better car, and a better apartment. I’d still be doing the same thing,” Amit says. The question, “How could I get out of this cycle?” I embarked on a quest for self-knowledge in an attempt to learn the truth. My past relationships were reviewed by me. I gave speeches at 58 different universities, reaching over 12,000. When I gave a talk at TEDx, I was one of the speakers. I decided to start my own business, so I left my job.
Now that Amit knew his true calling, he could begin to live it. Not only did he manage to save his marriage, but he also began teaching others his methods in the form of seminars, boot camps, and private sessions.
As a result, a new species, Dehurdle, entered the world. A hub that provides instruction on how to re-pattern one’s thinking in order to more easily navigate one’s everyday challenges. Given that, as Amit puts it, “there will always be hurdles in our life,” we should prepare ourselves accordingly. You can expect a range of sizes, from quite tiny to quite massive. Two things remain constant, however: first, the universality of their presence, and second, the universality of their significance. Furthermore, in order to progress, one must be equipped with the ability to leap over them.
“Amit was candid and open about sharing his personal stories in the session which led everyone to open up,” said Apurva Chamaria, head of startups and venture capital at a well-known search engine company. The second arrow parable, which he told, taught me a lot about how to handle adversity in a constructive way. According to Buddhist teaching, whenever we experience adversity, two arrows are fired in our direction. The pain of an arrow wound is well-known. It hurts even more if you take a second arrow to the same spot. The first arrow is not always in our control in life. The second arrow, however, represents our reply to the first. It’s up to you whether or not to use the second arrow.
