Ahmedabad, Gujarat : On the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day, an engaging session was organized by the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) on Wednesday. The event featured author and India’s first Reading Coach, Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta, who spoke about the development of the reading habit as the final frontier in mankind’s evolution. The session drew more than 100 attendees.

During her talk, the author highlighted how the act of reading and writing has propelled humanity to unprecedented progress, pointing out that no other species has achieved even the invention of the wheel.

The session revolved around the theme of Reeta Gupta’s latest book, Win the Battle of Your Mind in the Age of Social Media: Scroll Less, Read More. She shared practical strategies and techniques to help balance digital consumption with intentional reading practices, emphasizing their importance for cognitive well-being in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world.

Chaired by leading Communication Consultant Shailesh Goyal, the session was highly interactive, featuring questions on topics such as the benefits of fiction, focused reading, and whether books are being replaced by technology. The event was supported by the PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter.
