AM/NS India’s CEO Awards 2023 recognize innovation and commitment to safety

Surat : ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), a joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel, two of the world’s leading steel manufacturers, celebrated excellence by conferring the CEO Awards 2023, recognizing innovation and safety achievements and employees’ commitment to growth.

More than 500 AM/NS India employees joined the celebrations in person, and 1,500 others participated via live streaming for the grand awards ceremony, where cross-functional teams vied for the much-coveted Pinnacle, Gem, and 15 Special Awards for Safety and Business Excellence. The teams showcased remarkable results, contributing significant amount in savings to the bottom line.

Dilip Oommen, CEO, AM/NS India, honored the winners of the most prestigious categories of the CEO Awards 2023 – Steel Pinnacle, Steel Gem, and Safety Awards. He expressed heartfelt appreciation for the participation, contribution, and dedication of each member of the AM/NS India family. He affirmed the commitment to excellence and innovation and celebrating diversity in the workforce.

Recognising Safety Champions across locations, five awards were presented to teams for their exemplary implementation of best safety practices and excellent performance metrics.

Over 2,800 projects were successfully implemented in 2023, with an impressive 93% of the diverse workforce receiving recognition under PRAISE. A panel assessed these projects against various criteria to identify the top 10 finalists.

Esteemed Directors and VPs, including Alain Legrix De La Salle, Wim Van Gerven, Tomomitsu Inada, Hiroo Ishibashi, Ashutosh Telang and Amit Harlalka, felicitated teams and individuals for their outstanding contributions to organizational learning and business excellence.

The CEO Awards 2023 celebrated individual and team achievements and the commitment to promoting a culture of excellence and innovation, setting the stage for even greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
