A Belagavi-based technology – engineering company built attendance software for the factory floor instead of the HR office, and manufacturers are taking notice.

BELAGAVI, KARNATAKA: Ajinkya Technologies, a smart manufacturing and Industrial AI company operating under Kadle Global Pvt Ltd, is expanding deployment of Ankastra, its AI-powered Attendance and Workforce Management System, across more than 500 enterprise manufacturing sites in India.

The company is headquartered in Belagavi, with additional offices in Bengaluru, Dubai, and Singapore. Beyond Ankastra, its engineering team builds Vision AI, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Industrial IoT (IIoT), RFID automation, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Digital Transformation Solutions and agentic AI tools for industrial clients, including Hindalco Industries.

Most attendance software wasn’t built for a factory. It was built for an office, then retrofitted for a plant floor where Wi-Fi drops, devices get shared between shifts, and a few thousand workers can clock in within the same ten-minute window. Ankastra was designed the other way around. Its face recognition engine runs within a hard 50% CPU and memory cap, so it never slows down production systems on the same network. It integrates directly with biometric hardware including Matrix COSEC, ESSL, and ZKTeco, and its proprietary kiosk app keeps working even when a plant loses internet, queuing punches locally until connectivity returns.

“We didn’t start with HR requirements. We started with what actually breaks on a factory floor and built backward from that,” said Amey Kadle, CEO of Ajinkya Technologies and Managing Director of Kadle Global Pvt Ltd.

The company is now pushing into the US market while continuing to grow its UAE and Singapore operations. Its work was also covered editorially in Forbes India, which profiled the company’s approach to industrial AI and workforce technology.

Ankastra is sold across three tiers: Basic, Growth, and Pro, depending on plant size and the depth of integration a manufacturer needs. A single-site operation might only need attendance tracking. A larger multi-tenant enterprise can layer on payroll, Vision AI, and IIoT integration.

Ajinkya Technologies positions Ankastra as an alternative to legacy HR attendance vendors that, in its view, were never built with manufacturing in mind. That distinction, the company says, is driving adoption among heavy manufacturing and industrial clients across the country.
