Ahmedabad : In a transformative collaboration, Adani Group and ISKCON have launched the Narayan Seva initiative at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh, significantly impacting local farmers and youth by providing employment and boosting income opportunities.

During the Mahakumbh, a grand-scale Annakshetra Seva is underway, where essential items like vegetables, grains, and milk are sourced in bulk from Prayagraj and neighboring areas. This initiative not only caters to the daily needs of lakhs of devotees with Mahaprasad but also supports the local economy. Farmers in the region are reaping substantial financial benefits, earning lakhs of rupees through the sale of their produce.

The scale of operation is immense: Adani-ISKCON’s Bhandara utilizes 9,000 kg of vegetables daily, rising to 33,600 kg during peak days like Amritsnan. These vegetables are procured directly from local farmers, injecting significant revenue into their businesses. More than 3,000 individuals are directly employed in managing this service, with an additional 1,000 involved in daily food service operations. This effort alone provides direct and indirect employment to over 10,000 people, encompassing farmers, milk producers, vegetable vendors, and small traders.

The impact extends beyond economic gains. The Mahakumbh initiative underscores the transformative power of integrating faith with social responsibility. By supporting local businesses and creating employment opportunities, Adani Group and ISKCON are elevating standards of living and fostering economic prosperity in the region.

This collaborative effort not only fulfills the spiritual needs of devotees but also serves as a catalyst for socio-economic development. The Prayagraj Mahakumbh stands as a testament to how initiatives rooted in faith can drive positive change, offering a model of inclusive growth and community empowerment. By nurturing local economies and empowering youth through meaningful employment, Adani-ISKCON’s Annakshetra Seva sets a benchmark for impactful social initiatives in large-scale events like the Mahakumbh.
