BHARUCH, GUJARAT : The Adani Foundation’s ‘Utthan’ project in Dahej organized a successful five-day summer camp for students from Wagra taluka.  Over 1200 students from 14 schools participated in the program, which aimed to engage them in creative activities and foster a spirit of innovation during their summer break.

The summer camp curriculum emphasized nurturing students’ hidden talents and sparking curiosity. Activities were designed to teach participants new skills, build confidence, and equip them with the tools to overcome challenges.  Through teamwork and collaboration, friendships blossomed among the students.

A unique aspect of the camp involved creating food and water pots for animals and birds.  These were then placed within the school campus, providing much-needed protection from the scorching summer sun.  This activity not only nurtured a sense of responsibility towards the environment but also forged a connection between the children and nature.

Another engaging activity involved crafting masks of various animals.  Through this creative process, students learned about the importance of animal conservation and developed an understanding of how to safeguard our wildlife.

For the girls, a fun session on mehndi application was included, adding a touch of cultural celebration to the camp.  Overall, students found the entire experience to be innovative and filled with meaningful learning opportunities.

Children from villages like Lakhigam, Luwara, Jageshwar, and Dahej participated with great enthusiasm.  Representatives from these villages, including village sarpanch Naginbhai, applauded the upliftment project’s efforts to enlighten and empower the young generation through such engaging initiatives.
