Lions Cancer detection trust to construct an ultramodern cancer hospital on the New Civil Hospital campus in Surat

Lions Cancer Detection Centre Trust has been operating a day-care center on the NCH campus for the last many years and offers treatment and medical care to cancer patients at concessional rates.
The Trust is planning to construct an 11-storey ultra-modern cancer hospital on 250 square meters of land on the NCH campus. The cancer hospital will be equipped with hi-tech medical equipment, operation theatres, daycare services, etc. To meet the construction cost of Rs 150 crore, the Trust has appealed to the donors from the entire city to come forward and donate their valuable funds for the noble cause.
Ashok Kanungo, chairman of Lions Cancer Detection Centre Trust said, “The cancer patients from poor and middle-class backgrounds will be able to receive cancer treatment at concessional rates at the new cancer hospital”. “The hospital will be installed with ultra-modern medical equipment for providing better treatment facilities to the patients”
Kanungo added, “We are approaching various corporate companies in Hazira belt and other parts of the city to chip in with their financial contribution from the CSR funds for the construction of the cancer hospital. The cancer patients will be able to avail the benefits under the Maa Amrutam and Aayushman Bharat schemes of the Central Government.
The hospital will be equipped with Hemato Oncology, cancer screening, surgical oncology, medical oncology, hemato oncology, dental care, genetic test and counseling, three modular operation theatres equipped with world-class technology”
