Vadodara | Gujarat — The upcoming edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference is set to be held in Vadodara during the last week of June 2026, placing a sharp focus on Central Gujarat’s rising status as one of India’s most dynamic industrial and export-driven regions. Building on the legacy of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, the conference aims to accelerate investments, deepen industrial value chains, and strengthen regional economic integration across 10 districts.
Central Gujarat—covering Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Anand, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, and Mahisagar—contributes nearly 28% of Gujarat’s total manufacturing output. The region dominates several high-value sectors, including transport equipment, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and electrical machinery, making it a core engine of India’s industrial growth.
A senior official associated with the summit preparations said, “Central Gujarat is no longer just a manufacturing hub; it is emerging as a complete innovation and export ecosystem that connects industry, infrastructure, and global markets.”
According to industrial data, the region accounts for over 90% of the state’s other transport equipment output and more than 90% of auto and auto components manufacturing. Pharmaceuticals, electrical equipment, beverages, and chemicals also remain strong pillars of its industrial base. Anchored by major infrastructure projects like the Dholera Special Investment Region and Mandal-Becharaji SIR, the region is closely aligned with the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor.
Export performance further highlights its global integration. In FY 2024–25, Central Gujarat recorded exports worth $20.54 billion across 219 countries, led by pharmaceuticals, machinery, electrical goods, and automotive components. The United States remained the largest export destination, followed by the UAE and other key global markets.
The conference will focus on next-generation sectors including semiconductors, fintech, biotech, aerospace, green energy, and IT services, along with MSMEs, startups, and skill development. Tourism and culture will also be highlighted as major economic drivers, with heritage sites like Champaner-Pavagadh, Gandhi Ashram, and Laxmi Vilas Palace positioned as global attractions.
Another official noted, “The VGRC platform is transforming regional strengths into global opportunities by connecting investors directly with district-level industrial ecosystems.”
Previous editions of the conference have already attracted thousands of MoUs and large-scale investment commitments, reinforcing Gujarat’s position as a leading investment destination. The Central Gujarat edition is expected to further strengthen this trajectory, making Vadodara a key gateway for India’s industrial future.
