AI voice and smart features added
A key highlight of this update is Essential Voice, an AI-powered speech-to-text system that automatically removes filler words, stutters, and unnecessary pauses while converting speech into clean, structured text. It also includes shortcut support for frequently used phrases and works across 100+ languages with translation capability, making it useful for communication, notes, and productivity tasks.
UI improvements and better experience
The update also brings a redesigned lock screen clock inspired by the Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition, along with improved Live Updates that now integrate across the lock screen, Glyph interface, and notification panel. Notifications have been refined to feel cleaner and more streamlined, reducing clutter while improving visibility and user control over real-time information.
Performance upgrades and rollout plans
Nothing has also improved audio and video call quality, especially when paired with Nothing audio products, along with the latest April 2026 security patch for better system protection. The update is rolling out first to the Nothing Phone 3, with plans to expand to devices like the Phone 2, Phone 2a series, and CMF lineup in the coming weeks, while some features may arrive gradually through future updates.
