Modasa, Gujarat – In a blistering attack on the ruling BJP government in Gujarat, former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday described the state regime as a “government of the rich and Adanis,” accusing it of betraying the interests of farmers and cattle herders. Kejriwal was addressing a massive Kisan-Palak Mahapanchayat organized at the Kumkum Party Plot on Megharaj Road in Modasa, Aravalli district.

Flanked by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and several AAP Gujarat MLAs and party leaders, Kejriwal lambasted the Gujarat government for favoring corporate interests over grassroots communities.

“This is not a government of the people. This is a government of the rich and the Adanis. All big contracts are handed to them while the farmer, the cattle herder, and the laborer suffer in silence,” said Kejriwal, drawing cheers from a crowd of over 5,000 attendees, primarily local cattle breeders and farmers.

Kejriwal condemned the recent police lathi-charge on protesting cattle herders from Sabarkantha and Aravalli, calling it “arrogance of power.” He demanded a compensation of ₹1 crore to Ashok Chaudhary, a victim of police brutality during the protests.

“When cattle herders raise their voices, they are met with tear gas and batons instead of dialogue and dignity. Is this the Gujarat model?” he questioned.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann also launched a sharp attack on the BJP’s 30-year rule in Gujarat, accusing the Congress of becoming a silent accomplice.

“Congress is no longer the opposition—it is BJP’s B-team. People are forced to vote for BJP out of helplessness. Now, AAP is the real alternative,” Mann declared.

Mann highlighted AAP’s achievements in Punjab as a model of good governance. “Today, 88% of Punjab households receive zero electricity bills. We’ve given 55,000 government jobs, 10 lakh health cards, and built mohalla clinics and schools. This is what people deserve,” he added.

He claimed that Kejriwal’s growing presence in Gujarat has rattled the BJP, forcing them to offer half-hearted sops to cattle breeders.

“Loot won’t last long. Gujarat’s people will sweep away corruption and fix the system with a broom,” Mann said, referring to AAP’s election symbol.
