New Delhi [India], June 21: In a symphony of heritage and fresh horizons, internationally acclaimed composer Rajeev Mahavir officially launched his Los Angeles-based music label, “SUR Music,” in India. The grand unveiling was a star-studded affair, uniting icons from the Indian music industry in celebration of this visionary musical venture.
The prestigious event witnessed the presence of revered maestros including Padma Vibhushan Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Padmashri Hariharan, Javed Ali, Roop Kumar Rathod, filmmaker Rumy Jaffery, and Hon. Minister Shri Ashish Shelar—each extending their heartfelt support to what promises to be a transformative moment for the global music scene.
Adding melody to the milestone, SUR Music launched its debut track, “Mohabbat Teri”—a heartfelt romantic ghazal composed by Rajeev Mahavir and soulfully rendered by the legendary Hariharan. Marking a fresh voice on the horizon, the track also introduces Sohini Dey, whose emotional depth and graceful presence left a lasting impression on all in attendance.
