Ahmedabad : Gujarat is set to experience a cold wave in the coming two days, according to predictions from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Following a delay in Gujarat, winter has officially arrived, with weather experts forecasting harsh cold and unexpected rainfall in certain areas of the state in the days ahead, attributed to the influence of western disturbances.
The average minimum temperature in Ahmedabad was noted at 13.9 degrees, reflecting a drop of 0.5 degrees from the usual levels. In addition to this, a gentle wind during the day contributed to the sensation of cold. On Monday, the average maximum temperature recorded was 27.7 degrees, reflecting a drop of 3 degrees from the usual levels. The Meteorological Department forecasts that Ahmedabad’s minimum temperature will stay between 12 and 14 degrees over the next five days.
Weather experts have indicated that temperatures in Ahmedabad are expected to remain above 12 degrees for the next 10 days.
Weather expert Ambalal Patel reports that the influence of Western Disturbance had led to a decrease in the intensity of cold weather in Gujarat over the past few days; however, cold conditions are now returning. In the coming 72 hours, a significant drop in temperatures is expected across various regions of the state. In addition to this, the geographical positioning in the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring light rain showers and a shift in weather conditions across certain areas of South Gujarat. A potential drop in temperature is anticipated in various coastal districts, including Junagadh, leading to a decrease in minimum temperatures and an increased sensation of cold.
