NIFT Daman Students Head to Netherlands for Semester Exchange

Daman : Two textile students from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Daman campus have been selected for a semester exchange program at Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, for the academic term January-June 2025.

Korada Pooja and Aakash Suryavanshi, currently in their 5th semester, will pursue their 6th semester abroad. Their selection was based on merit, with both students ranking among the top two across all 19 NIFT campuses in India.

Campus Director Dr. Sandeep Sachan congratulated the students and said “International exchange programs open avenues for NIFT students, fostering global exposure and academic excellence. This achievement will motivate our junior students to strive for similar opportunities.” The UT administration has extended its support by providing temporary premises in two blocks of the Government Engineering College. Efforts are underway to identify a separate, permanent campus for NIFT, said Director Dr. Sandeep.

Admission to NIFT for the year 2025, will commence in the last week of this month. There are seats reserved for domicile Union Territory students and for Artisan’s children in the Campus for Bachelor’s and Master’s program, said Campus Academic Coordinator Dr Vidhu Sekhar.
