AHMEDABAD,GUJARAT : In a scene reminiscent of democratic fervor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi adorned in a white kurta and saffron Nehru jacket, arrived at Nishan Vidhyalaya in Ahmedabad’s Ranip today to cast his vote, marking a significant moment in Gujarat’s electoral landscape.

The polling booth buzzed with anticipation and enthusiasm as residents, mirroring the sentiments of millions across the state, welcomed the Prime Minister with resounding chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Home Minister Amit Shah, extending a warm welcome to PM Modi outside the polling station, presented saffron khes, a traditional symbol of honor and respect.

Amidst the throngs of supporters and well-wishers, a poignant moment unfolded as an elderly woman tied a rakhi to PM Modi, symbolizing the deep-rooted bonds of respect and affection between Gujaratis and their beloved ‘mota bhai’ Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister, in a gesture of humility, folded his hands and sought blessings.

In a heartwarming incident, PM Modi graciously interacted with a little girl who broke through the security net to seek his autograph. With a gentle caress on her head, PM Modi fulfilled her request, embodying the essence of approachability and connection with the people.

Accompanied by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, PM Modi walked along the road leading to the polling booth, waving to the enthusiastic crowd in Ahmedabad. Amidst the exchange of warmth and camaraderie, a local presented a painting to the Prime Minister, which he graciously accepted.

Addressing the media, PM Modi urged everyone to exercise their right to vote, emphasizing its importance in shaping the nation’s destiny. Notably, in a departure from his routine, PM Modi did not visit his family members residing in the Ranip area, underscoring the significance of his electoral responsibilities.

In his address, PM Modi commended the Election Commission for ensuring a smooth and violence-free electoral process. He highlighted the importance of peaceful elections as a cornerstone of democracy, positioning India as a beacon of election-friendly practices globally.

As PM Modi concluded his voting duties, he set his sights on Indore for the next leg of his election campaign, showcasing the relentless pace of democratic engagement. With voting hours extending from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., citizens have ample time to participate in shaping the nation’s future, underscoring the vibrancy of India’s democratic fabric.
