Surat : SITEX 2024 to showcase Over Rs 100 Cr hi-tech Textiles Machinery

Surat : Get ready to witness a revolution in textiles! The 9th edition of the Surat International Textiles Expo (SITEX) is set to unveil over Rs 100 crore worth of high-end textile machinery manufactured right here in India, at Surat.

Organized by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), SITEX 2024 promises a three-day spectacle of innovation and growth, kicking off on January 7th at Sarsana, Surat.

“This isn’t just about displaying machinery,” declares Ramesh Vaghasia, President of SGCCI. “It’s about showcasing the Indian textile industry’s transformation – its march towards modernization and global leadership.” With a focus on cutting-edge technology, SITEX 2024 will be the first to exhibit high-speed positional digital printing machines, opening doors to faster, more dynamic textile printing.

Over 100 exhibitors will present their wares across the entire textile spectrum, from machinery and accessories to yarn, fabrics, and embroidery equipment. Visitors can expect to be awestruck by “highly sophisticated textile machineries,” as Vaghasia describes, designed to empower entrepreneurs and propel India’s textile prowess even further.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. SITEX 2024 will also unveil a remarkable feat of Indian engineering: the high-speed electric jacquard machine. This indigenous innovation marks a significant milestone in bridging the gap between Indian and global textile machinery manufacturers.

“We expect over 25,000 visitors to witness this technological showcase,” enthuses Vijay Mevawala, Vice President of SGCCI. “With the inclusion of these high-speed printing and jacquard machines, we’re telling the world that India is ready to compete and win in the textile arena.”

Additional Textile Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, SP Verma, will inaugurated the SITEX 2024 on January 7, lending official weight to the expo’s importance.
