Surat : Tragic Fire Incident Leaves Family Severely Burnt in Sachin

Surat : A devastating fire engulfed a household in Sachin in Surat during the early hours of Wednesday, resulting in critical burn injuries to a family of five, including three children, after a gas cylinder leakage ignited a blaze. The victims, including a four-month-old boy, were rushed to the New Civil Hospital (NCH) in Surat for immediate medical attention, where the parents’ conditions are reported to be critical.

The incident unfolded in the home of 25-year-old Feroz Ansari, a textile worker residing in the Sachin area along with his wife, two sons, and a daughter. Feroz, the sole breadwinner of the family, was deeply committed to supporting his loved ones through his employment in the textile industry.

Tragedy struck as the family slept peacefully. The night took a tragic turn when the youngest member of the family, the four-month-old boy, stirred, crying for attention. Responding to her infant’s needs, the mother endeavored to warm milk and inadvertently triggered a fire when attempting to ignite the gas stove due to a leakage in the cylinder.

The sudden outbreak of flames rapidly engulfed the room where the family slept, resulting in severe burns for the three children, as well as the husband and wife. Emergency services promptly intervened, swiftly transporting all five injured individuals to the New Civil Hospital in Surat.

Medical professionals attending to the victims have reported critical conditions for both the mother, who was attempting to heat the milk, and the father, who was among those injured. The gravity of their injuries underscores the severity of the incident, requiring intensive medical care and attention.
