STPL CEO Rahul Gaywala named “CEO of the Year” by ASSOCHAM

Ahmedabad: STPL, headquartered in the city of Surat, is a worldwide pioneer in providing a wide range of technological solutions. The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has awarded the title of “CEO of the Year” to the company’s current CEO, Mr. Rahul Gaywala.

Mr. Gaywala received the nation’s highest honour in a ceremony on August 18th, 2023, in Kolkata. This honour comes from ASSOCHAM, India’s 8th annual TechMeet & Technology Excellence Awards. This honour is given to those who have gone above and above in their work for their company, their agency, or their institution.The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises of India formed ASSOCHAM in 1920, making it the oldest apex chamber in the country. The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of the Government of India works to support companies that have the potential to significantly affect India’s economic trajectory in the 25 years leading up to the country’s 100th year of independence.

Mr. Gaywala was chosen to receive an award in the technology category. Experts in the disciplines of diamond processing using lasers, secure trading solutions, robotics, automation, and extended reality powered by artificial intelligence voted him the winner. New technologies, AI technology solutions, business technology innovations, SaaS, green technologies, Blockchain solutions, cyber security, and mobility solutions were all among the corporate prize categories.

Since 1993, Mr. Gaywala has worked with the Sahajanand Group. He is responsible for the company’s worldwide operations such as marketing, research and development, manufacturing, and the supply chain, but his true passion is in the creation of new technologies. As a leading Indian Technocrat, he pioneered the modernization of the diamond processing industries in India and abroad and has since applied those discoveries elsewhere with great success.   He has considerable expertise in diamond technology, industrial lasers, medical devices, and the life sciences business, making him a rare blend of a visionary, a hard-core inventor, a motivator, and a technocrat.

Over the last three decades, he has played a pivotal role in guiding STPL towards its goal of remaking the diamond business as a high-tech, automated engineering sector. In the medical field, he has contributed to India’s independence by fostering the development of locally produced stents. In addition, he is making use of his knowledge in additive manufacturing.
