Barwani : “Water is one of the most precious natural resources that sustains life on Earth. It is a vital resource for every living being and is necessary for our day-to-day existence. It is the duty of each and every one of us to conserve and preserve this resource for future generations” said the leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, while emphasizing the value of water and the importance of preserving and conserving it during his recent sermon at Saifee Masjid in Barwani on May10, using the Narmada River as an analogy.

The Narmada River is known as the ‘lifeline of both Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat’. It is one of the longest rivers in India, and it supports a wide variety of flora and fauna. The river is also home to numerous indigenous communities that rely on it for their livelihoods. The Narmada River is a symbol of the interconnectedness of all life and the importance of preserving and conserving our natural resources.

During his sermon, Syedna Saifuddin highlighted the importance of water conservation and preservation. He spoke about the various ways in which water is wasted in our day-to-day lives, such as leaving taps running unnecessarily, using more water than required, and not fixing leaks. He urged his followers to take responsibility for their water usage and to conserve water wherever possible.

Syedna Saifuddin also spoke about the impact of climate change on the availability of water. He emphasized the need to be mindful of our water usage and to ensure that we are not wasting this precious resource. He urged his followers to take steps to reduce their carbon footprint and to work towards a sustainable future.

The Dawoodi Bohra community has been actively involved in water conservation and preservation efforts. The community has implemented several initiatives to conserve water, such as rainwater harvesting, wastewater treatment, and the use of drip irrigation. These initiatives have not only helped conserve water but have also led to improved agricultural yields and better water quality.

He advised the community members to lead a life full of contentment and open-mindedness while maintaining peaceful coexistence with other members of society. He also counselled them to remain faithful citizens and always abide by the laws and regulations of the land in which they reside. Syedna ended his sermon while praying for peace and prosperity of the nation

During his visit to Barwani on 8th May, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin inaugurated the newly renovated Najmi Masjid at Subash Road and later inaugurated another Dawoodi Bohra Masjid in Barwani, named Ezzi Masjid. He also visited community members’ houses and inquired after their well-being.

Ibrahim Rizvi, media coordinator for the Dawoodi Bohras in Barwani said, “Around 10,000 Dawoodi Bohra members have gathered today at Saifee Masjid to listen to our leader Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin’s sermon and learn important life lessons. With the support of government authorities and various Dawoodi Bohra committees, we’re trying our best to ensure a comfortable stay for everyone in Barwani.”

Syedna is currently visiting towns and villages in the Nimar region, spread across the South Western region of Madhya Pradesh. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin arrived in Barwani on 8th May after Indore, Betma, Kukshi and Dahi last week.
