Lucknow : When a film, song, or celebrity is honoured with a statuette at an event modelled after the Academy Awards, everyone in the country celebrates a victory. When the song Naatu Naatu from the film RRR won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, it was a huge moment of pride for India. The 14-year wait for this triumph by the Indian film industry only added to its significance. Strong, resilient, equal, and diverse perspectives are all reflected in India’s vibrant artistic and cultural traditions.

India’s reputation soared in the South Asian region after Naatu Naatu’s success. With the release of Naatu Naatu, India was bathed in the colours of national pride, unity, and celebration, and Indian art and culture were finally given the recognition and appreciation they deserved.

Even though millions of people around the world were ecstatic about the incredible victory, not many of them were goenkan. The students, faculty, and administration of GD Goenka Public School in Lucknow, India, who through their hard work and dedication to their roles have helped the school achieve its current level of renown, came together for a fun party set to the tunes of the movie and song Naatu Naatu. Although the victory made every Indian proud, the students and faculty at GD Goenka Public School in Lucknow felt an especially strong connection to the outcome.

GD Goenka is well-known for instilling in its students and the entire administration a commitment to the values of art, culture, brotherhood, and resilience. GD Goenka has repeatedly demonstrated its preference for an approach to education that places equal value on academics and extracurricular activities. GD Goenka is a firm believer in the virtues of tolerance, perseverance, and fairness.

At a press conference, GD Goenka Public School Lucknow Chairman Sarvesh Goel said, “Taking this win as an opportunity to showcase that the school not only teaches the importance of art & culture by words but also in action, Goenkans choreographed and grooved onto the beats of victory, the beats of Naatu Naatu. Goenkans felt not only pride and joy at the Oscar win, but also a sense of introspection about the country’s relationship to art and culture.

The entire campus was overcome by a jubilant spirit as students and faculty alike recognised this victory as a golden opportunity to celebrate India’s proud cultural heritage. This victory was cause for celebration among the entire GD Goenka administration, from the school’s principals and teachers to the school’s gardeners, bus drivers, members of the school’s theatre group, students participating in extracurricular activities, and so on. Thus demonstrating the Indian victory dance and the elation of a global triumph.

The video was created and shared on all of GD Goenka Lucknow’s official social media accounts. On the question of the viral video of Naatu Naatu school dance on social media, Mr. Goel stated, “People are liking our performance reel on Instagram and Facebook, and we are getting good reactions. Despite the fact that exams are taking place and the school is closed for junior sections, our 31 high school students, 11 administrative staff, 57 teaching staff, 36 grade IV employees, gardeners, cleaners, seven guards, mades, bus drivers, and myself performed this group act on behalf of the management. The end result was fantastic, and it also demonstrated the level of bonding and love among the staff and students, making us one of the top-best schools in Lucknow.

” This sense of pride, joy and celebration was ignited into Goenkans and in fact the whole world, by RRR. A movie that not only vibrantly represented India’s rich art, culture and history, but also celebrated our deep-rooted values of brotherhood, diversity and valor, and such patriotic devotion towards the motherland bore fruits of recognition. RRR and its song Naatu Naatu not only hit the chords of valor, celebration and brotherhood but also, they strung the idea of inclusivity.

Indeed, it was not just the song that won the Oscars, rather the message of equality and inclusivity in the upbeat notes blowing the trumpets of and for India.

A celebration of Victory, a celebration of Inclusivity and a celebration of Pride in Mother India.
