New Delhi : With his upcoming film “Gaslight,” starring Sara Ali Khan, Chitrangada Singh, and Vikrant Massey, producer Akshai Puri of 12th Street Entertainment hopes to modernise the thriller genre while staying true to the traditions of Hindi cinema. On March 31st, you’ll be able to watch it on Disney+ Hotstar.

He was overjoyed by the reception the trailer, which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar’s official YouTube channel on March 14, 2023, received and gushed, “We have received a great response on the trailer. The audience was left eager to see the rest of the film after watching the trailer for just 2 minutes and 10 seconds. We want the audience to be as captivated by the film as we were while making it, and we want them to experience the same thrills we did. *further adding* “Gaslight is the result of a beautiful relationship we share with Ramesh Taurani ji and Disney + Hotstar.”

When Misha (Sara Ali Khan) returns to her family’s estate 15 years after leaving, she finds herself in the middle of a royal mystery. Joined by her friends Rukmini (Chitrangda Singh) and Kapil (Vikrant Massey), Misha begins to doubt the world’s established order. As she delves further into the matter, the secrets only become more buried.

With “*Gaslight,” Akshai concludes his fascinating career producing films in multiple Indian languages. He has produced a number of ground-breaking Indian films, including Badla, Bhoot Police, Next Enti, and many more*, and he is always thinking of fresh ways to present the medium.

His upcoming works include a horror comedy written and directed by Akshat Verma, a Hindi remake of Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s debut feature Aaranya Kaandam (2011), directed by Ajay Bahl, and an untitled film based on the book “The Devotion of Suspect X” directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

By exploring novel ideas and concepts, Akshai hopes to push the boundaries of cinema.
