The AGFTC-IT Bar Association Tax Colloquium in Ahmedabad draws around 400 delegates

Ahmedabad : The All Gujarat Federation of Tax Consultants (AGFTC) and IT Bar Association hosted a Tax Conference over the course of two days, drawing in excess of 400 delegates from across Gujarat and India.

Former Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court, Justice (retired) Sonia Gokani, opened the Direct and Indirect Taxes Colloquium, which was attended by many eminent tax consultants, lawyers, and specialists. During her remarks, Judge Gokani noted that tax law is a rapidly developing area and emphasised the importance of lifelong learning for professionals in the field.

The senior advocate Tushar Hemani, advocates Manish Shah and Dhinal Shah, and CA Abhishek Raja “Ram” addressed on a wide range of themes.

At this session, Brain Trust trustees CA Mehul Thakkar, CA Mitish Modi, lawyer Mehul Patel, CA Aseem Thakkar, and CA Hiren Shah addressed participants’ concerns and questions on the income tax provisions.

Experts from all over the country shared their insights on a wide variety of subjects on the second day of the Conclave. Senior attorneys V Raghuraman and V Sridharan, as well as Tax Guru Dr. Girish Ahuja, were among the speakers.

Advocate Abhay Desai, Chartered Accountant Jigar Shah, Advocate Samir Siddhapuria, and Advocate Hardik Modh, Trustees of Brain Trust, responded to the delegates’ questions about Goods and Services Tax (GST).

We hope that the Tax Conclave will serve as a forum for participants to network and share their knowledge, thereby fostering further education and development.
